Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Analyze accounting accounts and transactions for Popular Inc. and their subsidiaries, including Popular Community Bank (U.S.); post transactions in the General Ledger. Analyze and record journal entries. Review and keep record of internal procedures according to the policies and procedures of the organization. Provide support in the preparation of variance explanations with Income Statement, Balance Sheet, among others. Investigate and analyze pending transactions or differences in accounts, identifying and channeling possible reclassifications, adjustments or corrections of systems. Follow-up on arrangements as needed. Support auditing processes. Provide support on assigned special projects. Minimum Education Bachelor's Degree in Accounting Experience Experience working with the General Ledger preferred but not reqired.
